The United States Department of Agriculture will have a representative available to provide informatioin to interested individuals in Galveston County on:
Housing assistance available to low income and rural communities. Programs offer loans to qualified persons to buy or build a home. No down payment, relaxed credit requirements. Loans to repair or maintain a home.
Community Program assistance to enhance the quality of life for rural Texans by providing funds to governmental entities and non-profit organizations.
Business and co-operative program assistance to expand economic opportunities and development in rural areas throughout Texas.
Renewable Energy for America Program (REAP) for eligible rural businesses and agriculture producers who receive 50 0/0 of their income from their ag production.
Value Added Producer Grans (VAPG) for eligible producers of ag commodities, ag producer groups, farmer etc.
